Book Recs for the Summer Reading Challenge

If you don’t have any ideas of where to start with the reads required to complete your Bingo board, look no further! Here are a few recommendations for each of the reading challenges

  1. Read a short story collection

2. Read a fiction book by a disabled author

3. Read a book published before 2005

4. Read a book with an animal on the cover

5. Read a middle-grade book

6. Read a book by someone from a different religious tradition from you

7. Read a book shorter than 200 pages

8. Read a debut novel

9. Read a book with a BIPOC author and BIPOC main character

10. Read a non-European novel in translation

Of course all of these recommendations are only the beginning—and some of them would even count for double-dipping! If none of these strike your fancy, stop in to the store and we’d happily give you even more recommendations.
